Scene opens with a slightly ajar door. A faint alarm clock sounds. Camera moves closer to the door and the title appears and fades “SO CLOSE - NOTD”.

Enter room, it’s messy. Has a one night stand type of feel. Camera pans on the floor, taking note of the discarded clothes and slowly creeps up to the bed. Girl lies awake, staring at something - there’s someone next to her asleep. She gets up to go to the bathroom and camera zooms in on a wedding invitation on her nightstand.

She’s at the wedding now, she’s not sure why she came but she’s there. She sips her drink, a forced smile on her face as she makes eye contact with the groom as he and his bride walk into the reception.

She watches them as they begin their first dance. Camera slowly zooms in on her and glitches as a memory from the past, one of him and her just smiling, (they’re doing something but it isn’t immediately made clear) floats through her mind.

Camera pans to the couple - there’s a glitch and for a second it’s the girl and groom dancing. The song plays louder, the glitch happens more and more alternating between bride and groom and flashback before the flashback takes full control and it’s just the two of them, dancing.

As they dance, there are flashbacks, the two of them screaming. The two of them fighting and it ends with her alone in her apartment holding onto his shirt then jumps back to the present and she’s alone at the table watching them and a waiter passes by.
Transition to Waiter walking past her to the waiter’s pov and now the camera is following him walking down the streets of a city in the afternoon.

New couple - one who tries too hard and one who doesn’t try too at all.
He’s walking with a group of friends and we see him texting his boyfriend happy shit like can’t wait for tonight! We see the boyfriends picture, and as he passes a bar, the boyfriend is flirting with someone else and they make eye contact. Guy is pissed starts to walk - boyfriend sees him and follows after him grabs him.

Scene change they’re in their apartment now, fighting and screaming at one another. Camera follows Boyfriend as gets irritated and stumbles out the door, leaving the waiter alone in the apartment.

Camera zooms in slowly on waiter as he sits alone in the apartment.

As chorus starts, Waiter goes mental and starts destroying shit in the apartment before grabbing a bag and stuffing all his boyfriends stuff and leaves it outside.
Final act - what could have been -
Transition scene with the bag - same brand is being held by the groom as he’s about to leave but the girl stops him and they work shit out and it’s just staccato jumps into a future that never was.

Transition scene - groom hangs a painting on their wall and smiles and it glitches to the boyfriend who’s hanging up the picture after the damage the waiter did. The waiter comes out their room as he finished hanging and he rushes to hug him and staccato jumps into a future that never was.

Future flashbacks to the groom and the girl as they move
